Alan Carter

My name is Alan, I have been around dogs all my life but my love for showing came 2000 when I met the Lhasa Apso. Lhasa are my main breed but I have owned handled and shown other breeds over the years. I first started to judge in 2007 and now blessed to be passed to award CC 13 breeds with hopefully more to come. I’m lucky to have judged in Norway Sweden and Finland . I’m excited to come back to Finland this summer.

Dogs have been an important part of my whole life.

I grew up with German Shepherds and started breeding them at a young age.  30 years ago I started breeding different Terrier breeds under the kennel name „The Best Colour“. I bred more than 30 litters of Irish, Lakeland, Welsh, Kerry Blue, Soft Coated Wheaten and Airedale Terriers and also a few litters of Miniature Schnauzers. I bred and owned more than 100 national and International Champions inlcuding several European and World Winners.
 I was born in Zagreb, Croatia and I am a veterinary techican by profession.
As a young girl I started grooming and showing different breeds and during that time I won multiple Bests in Show with different dogs and won many grooming competitions.

More recently I have put my passion for breeding and showing aside as my husband Oliver, who is an FCI all breed judge, and I travel a lot and run very busy and successful grooming shop and salon .

In 2014 I started my judges education and I have so farjudged numerous Specialty, National and International shows all around the world, including the World dog show in Germany and Croatia
I am permitted to judge all the breeds from the FCI groups I, II, III, IV, VIII, IX and some breeds from other groups. . I am member of junior handlers commission and FCI all round judge for grooming competitions.

I have dedicated my whole life to dogs and I enjoy sharing our everyday life with two German shepherd, also love judging dogs and I am very passionate about my job which icludes grooming of different breeds, whether they be purely companions or successful show dogs.

Hei,

Lapsuudessani elämääni kuului perheeni omistamat suomenajokoirat, joita käytettiin perinteiseen jänismetsästykseen. Varsinainen koiraharrastamiseni alkoi vuonna 1996, jolloin tapasin nykyisen vaimoni ja hänen ranskanbulldogginsa. Näyttelyt ovat olleet mukana harrastamisessa tuosta asti.

Tällä hetkellä kodistamme löytyy pelkästään ranskanbulldoggeja, joita olemme kasvattaneet kennelnimellä Carte Truffé vuodesta 2006 lähtien. Ranskanbulldoggien lisäksi meillä on ollut pari kingcharlesinspanielia.

Ulkomuototuomarin oikeudet sain vuonna 2023. Tällä hetkellä minulla on oikeudet lähes kaikkiin FCI ryhmän 9 roduista sekä kansallinen oikeus arvostella ryhmä 9. Tällä hetkellä keskityn FCI ryhmän 2 laajennukseen.

Tuomarina arvostan koirissa rotutyypin lisäksi rodunomaista luonnetta sekä tervettä, tasapainoista rakennetta. Tähän mennessä olen päässyt tuomaroimaan Suomen lisäksi Ruotsissa sekä Tanskassa.

Olen Emma Kallonen. Olen harrastanut koiria lapsesta asti – ensimmäinen koira tuli perheeseemme, kun olin 4 vuotias, ja vuosien varrella kotona on ollut muutamia rotuja, muun muassa kaukaasianpaimenkoira ja brasilianterrieri. Nuorempana kilpailin aktiivisesti Junior Handler -kehissä useilla eri roduilla, mutta basenji vei sydämeni pysyvästi – ja sillä tiellä olen edelleen.

Kasvatan pienimuotoisesti basenjeja, ja kotona arkea jakaa neljä basenjia. Koirien kanssa harrastan näyttelyitä ja juoksukisoja, sekä esitän myös paljon muita koiria, sillä kehässä pyöriminen on edelleen minulle rakas osa koiramaailmaa.

Junior Handler -kilpailuissa arvostan erityisesti koiran ja ohjaajan välistä yhteistyötä, ja sitä, että esittäjä tuntee rodun ja sen oikeat esittämistekniikat – haluaisin myös nähdä sitä aitoa yhteyttä, joka tekee parista iloisen seurattavan. Kehääni olet tervetullut aina sellaisena kuin olet!
