The Dalmatian Club of Finland
Dalmatiankoirat Dalmatinerna ry. was founded in 1971. The purpose of the Club is to promote all types of hobbies with Dalmatians, inform members on issues related to breed and hobbies as well as to improve the breed's quality.
Club publishes DAL-member magazine four times a year as well as ABC-DAL booklet (a guide for new puppy owners).
Club's speciality show is arranged once a year. The location for the speciality show changes annually. In addition to the speciality show, during the same year two unofficial puppy shows are arranged and one unofficial Open Show where the pet class is open also to those Dalmatians that cannot attend official shows e.g. patched, blue eyed or castrated males. On top of that, active members arrange e.g. Match Shows on various locations.
Club aims to arrange diverse activities e.g. agility, shows, working dog and obedience excercise. Summer Camp is also arranged annually.
Club's breeding committee gives advice to members on breeding and aims to increase knowledge on breeding among members. Club also helps to find homes to members' newborn puppies as well as to those who are looking for a new home.
Members' litters' BAER tests are also supported financially by the Club.
